Last night I attended the Silver County Forest Planning meeting, and what a sorry site it was! The environment was severely underrepresented, and I am afraid that business, industry and ignorant right-wingers were much more prevalent and much more vocal than environmentalists.

Unfortunately, the public meetings are over, and we can no longer plead our case to the Planning Team through the formal means. However, the environmental movement is not done speaking. We must do everything in our power to protect our Forest. That is why I am calling YOU to demonstrate TONIGHT outside of Forest Ranger, Mike Mills’ office. We must let him know that we will not let any more destruction occur. We will not let those big-business mercenaries dictate our future.

If the Forest is not protected through the planning process, we will take it upon ourselves to do so – no matter what we have to do!
