Rural Farmland Area outside of Silver Cliff. Farmers are worried about soil and water contamination if the old Slippery Mine property becomes part of the brownfield redevelopment project. They fear that if developers and environmental agencies start turning over this contaminated land, it will cause widespread contamination of the fields and watersources that the farmers use for irrigation.
