New housing developments on the outskirts of Mineral. New residents are happy to have escaped the increasingly congested and polluted city life. They have come to Mineral for the high quality of life and to be close to the natural amenities that the mountain life offers. Long time mineral residents are appalled at the new growth and development taking place in the region and feel it is negatively impacting the rural, isolated life they have come to enjoy and expect. They feel that these new developments lack character and are a blight to the beautiful natural landscape. They also feel that the new residents bring "city values" to the rural mountain community. |
