  • Push for a larger area that is available for resource extraction
  • promote the use of wood products over competing materials
  • promote reseeding and replanting of trees to ensure the future of the timber industry in the region

Positions

They are for FuturePlan because greater growth in the region will increase the demand for timber and lumber. Greater growth outside of the metropolitan areas will provide mere work for those clearing land for development and will allow for a greater percentage of forest lands that will be available for resource extraction.
