Mission

The mission of the trout Trout Lake Homeowner's Association is to preserve and protect the history, culture, and scenic landscape of the Trout Lake region. We aim to promote the upkeep of both the public and private the properties surrounding trout lake to ensure that visitors and residents alike will continue to find the Trout Lake area a desirable place to visit and stay.

  • ensure that trout lake is a welcoming and friendly place to live and visit
  • promote the upkeep of both public and private properties surrounding the Lake
  • work to promote community and neighborhood vitality
  • maintain and improve the common amenities owned and operated by the Association
  • define the acceptable level of growth within the region in light of community objectives

Positions

The TLHA is in favor of FuturePlan because they feel that widespread growth in the area would not only threaten the delicate ecosystem of the Trout Lake area, but would threaten the relaxed atmosphere and culture of the Trout Lake subdivision. They feel that their particular subdivision is a very unique one, with many long-time residents who have come to learn how to respect the property of the community as well as the amenities that the Association controls and protects. They feel that by widening the scope of growth in the region, rather than concentrating it into the existing urban areas, would create greater traffic problems in an already overburdened roadway system. Additionally, residents are used to friendly neighbors, and the ability to walk and bike freely through the area, but with greater growth outside of Trout Lake proper, more traffic would make these leisurely strolls and rides more difficult.
